Paul Bamgbose talking to Ex Cathedra Movie.co.uk

How did you find out about Ex Cathedra?

I found out about Ex Cathedra on Starsinmyeyes.tv My 1st memory of the production would probably be the the 1st meeting with everyone on the Monday (3/7/07)…scary lol

What was your favourite moment on site?

My favourite moment would have to be the last day off shooting at Scarborough Beach absolute fun it was,and oh the stupid Yorkshire boy trying to sing umbrella while in a car outside the phoenix pub…smuck trying to pose for some chicks in his car while I’m acting…lol and the stress titty at stone street…

What did you work on before this film and how did you enjoy working with the Ex Cathedra crew?

I had done a couple of short films, extra work on a blockbuster as you all know. As for the cast I would say working with Safi, Richard and Garth. (Not to forget Liam and Rory) The two dodgy addicts to the smurf powder…lol Sound n Camera Mike(s), rosie , katy, a Special thanks to Corrine and Vicky (I fucking Hate ya…lol).

What attracted you to Gemini?

My attraction to Gemini’s character was a chance for me to be menacing, the way it was written even though I originally auditioned for Duke…lol. (thanx Vicky/Dan). Yeah I did really I enjoyed the not having to be nice to anyone when I was in character and even as I’ve finished the project people see the photographs they say im scary…yipeee!

A lot will stay with me, especially the development of a character over a period of time, different ways of working if different spaces.

How do you think British audiences will receive the film?

As for the audiences  I think they’ll see it as something new and will love it because its audacious, magical, and love the fact that the film features up and coming actors. Another thing, because it’s a really intelligent film. And it should inspire other peeps to see that you don’t need a big budget , all you need is a committed group of people (cast /crew) who are all willing to work hard.

What advice to you have for other aspiring actors?

As for up and coming actors learn your lines, work hard, walk the dog (if u can)…lol, ask questions, be on-time and be friendly. Most of all have fun always.
I believe they can, forget the high tech stuff, a group of good and committed actors will do the job for you especially if they’re in a real location rather than blue/green screen…your actors will perform better…lol

Peace and Blessings….Gemini out…
